COCESNA has received important recognition throughout its history. For example, COCESNA was given the greatest honor in the world conferred by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the Edward Warner Award, in 1976, due to its significant contribution to the world’s air navigation safety. In 1985, COCESNA was given a scroll of honor and decoration from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) of the Government of the United States of America, due to its remarkable beneficial effect in the improvement and safety of international civil aviation in the Central American region. In addition, on its 40 years of foundation, 25 February 2000, our Corporation received recognition from the FAA for the professional success in the provision of air navigation services in the Central American FIR.
COCESNA is the agency responsible for the provision of Air Navigation Services in the Central American Region through the Central American Agency for Air Navigation Services ACNA, which was created with the amendment of the Statutes on June 1, 2001 and is physically located in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
The Central American Agency for Aviation Safety, known as ACSA was founded in 2000, is a division of COCESNA, is certified under the ISO 9000 - 2008 Standards and has a staff of specialists for each of the technical areas of aviation Civil, we are characterized by offering tailor made services, according to your needs, always seeking the best results, the maximization of resources, but above all, the satisfaction of our customers.
We are the Central American Institute of Aeronautical Training ICCAE with headquarters in El Salvador, that being part of COCESNA, we constitute as the center of aeronautical instruction with greater presence in the Central American region and of great projection at international level.
